Little drops of water, Little grains of sand, Make the mighty ocean And the pleasant land. Thus the little minutes, Humble though they be, Make the mighty ages Of eternity.-Julia Fletcher
The little minutes have evaporated into the big 2-5 for us!!
With 15 days to go til the big day, I am going to be sharing lessons I have learned from Mr. Gary Gunther for you to ponder…
Lesson 1. Faithful to God– In the 25 years of our marriage I could only count on one hand a night or a morning that Gary has not opened the Word of God in either quiet private study or in shared family devotion. Through 25 years of sickness, moves, sleep deprivation and more, I can depend on Gary being in the Word. More than an impressive record, it is a hallmark of who he is as a person. When I was dating Gary the one word of description that was used by friends about him was that what he said he would do, he fulfilled. What I have learned about promise keeping has come by walking with a faithful friend and lover. What one quality would friends use to describe you? Is it one that the Bible also upholds? 2 Tim 2:2 says,
The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. “Gary’s faithfulness has opened our hearts as a family to the truths of God.
